超过我们所求所想 (and what is Wisdom? )

The three difference senses of filled with the spirit:

1. 1. Power to convert: Col 2:9-10: ... you have come to the fullness of him (Acts 9 kind of full of spirit)
2. 2. Power to sanctify a believer: Eph 5:18-19 I'm go on to be filled with the spirit
3. 3. Power to bring high assurance of immediate sense of God's presence and love; "intuitive faith"

“There's an old saying that the difference between abstract knowledge and real wisdom is that "wisdom is knowledge with the knower left in." It is taking the truth into all your relationships. It is to ask, "What does this mean for my relationship to God? to myself? to this or that person or group? to this or that behavior or habit? to my friends, to the culture?”

Wisdom is confidence in the complex reality.

Learning Obedience, Learning Love Language

Recall Rev Allain from Pierrepont? Because of his talk with me, I understand that my Father's love language, meaning obeying his Words.

Word of Wisdom for this week: 1 Tim 6:

Eventually there’s an epidemic of backstabbing, and truth is but a distant memory. They think religion is a way to make a fast buck.
^6-8 A devout life does bring wealth, but it’s the rich simplicity of being yourself before God. Since we entered the world penniless and will leave it penniless, if we have bread on the table and shoes on our feet, that’s enough.
^9-10 But if it’s only money these leaders are after, they’ll self-destruct in no time. Lust for money brings trouble and nothing but trouble. Going down that path, some lose their footing in the faith completely and live to regret it bitterly ever after.

Running Hard

^11-12 But you, Timothy, man of God: Run for your life from all this. Pursue a righteous life—a life of wonder, faith, love, steadiness, courtesy. Run hard and fast in the faith. Seize the eternal life, the life you were called to, the life you so fervently embraced in the presence of so many witnesses.

And also my favorite in  the Book of Revelations Chapter 3:

You’re not cold, you’re not hot—far better to be either cold or hot! You’re stale. You’re stagnant. You make me want to vomit. You brag, ‘I’m rich, I’ve got it made, I need nothing from anyone,’ oblivious that in fact you’re a pitiful, blind beggar, threadbare and homeless.

²² “Are your ears awake? Listen. Listen to the Wind Words, the Spirit blowing through the churches.”

• Review: growth driven by two responses:
• My responding to daily defeats with daily repentance, where repentance is defined as removing idols from my heart.
• My responding to divine providence, large or small, with faith, where faith is defined as finding my identity in Christ
  
• But how do you find identity in Christ? y looking at what it means to live by faith.
• Stop DIY-way to prove "I'm not a bum", accept His salvation.
• Two aspects of His salvation: passive obedience of Christ and active obedience of Christ.
• Two results: guilt-free and gloriously hidden in Christ and Father God, like a defendant hiding in my Advocate.
• Psychology is faith personalized.
• Obeying truth means accepting that I do not have what it takes. 
• Cannot insist on proving myself via "my brain and my personalities": the parable of two wasps told by Rev. Otberg.
  

Beethoven Triple Concerto

Listening to Karajan 1970s/4 Triple Concerto in C, my soul is flying in heaven. What peace, what tranquility and warmth.

Reviewing Kempis book "Immitation of Christ" over lunch-fast, this sense caught my eyes, on page 7:

Many words do not satisfy the soul, but a good life eases the mind and a clean conscience inspires great trust / faith in God.  ...     

If you wish to learn and appreciate something worthwhile,  then love to be unknown and considered as nothing. .. All men are frail, but you must admit that none is more frail than yourself.

What a surprise at Waverley Train Station: I did not realize that I booked Dec 2 train until I found someone sitting in "my seat".

Am I embarassed? A little. Am I losing peace? After the Conductors helped me to find new tickets and similar seats, I feel strangely peaceful. I ascribed the mature response to Tim Keller.   His podcast, "349.Finding our identity in Christ", just convinced me, via Martin Luther: Repent Daily.

"My low-selfstimate may actually   be the reality wake-up call." And:

•  More is forgiven, more blessed and sactified in general. 

This morning, SMM and I had a long talk part 2. There is going to be part 3, hopefully on the plane or while waiting in the lounge.

1.  Her heart problem is worriesome. Will get a full evaluate like Ted Lee did in Taiwan. Her words: if you presure me and squeeze more "利用我 达到目的＂"I may die young leaving you behalf, similar to the tragedy that your mom left your dad to his misery."
2. Because of the conflict in Bertie Fish and Chips, she will "shut up and stop giving me advises. She will no longer consider her job to share what her prophetic visions concerrning me" (is this accurate?/)
3. If I engage her in a conversation,  I need to let her know whether it is to expect her to listen only, not giving her solutions as feedback.

I pray that:

1.  God grants me the wisdom to love my wife. I want to love her deeper, so help me God.
2. God I want to love your word more, pleae grow in me bigger appetite for your Word. Use Rev Tim Keller's podcasts if you may.

Communication in Marriage: first challenge of 2020

I misunderstood Shuyi response to my sharing of pissing in pants at 10 years of age. 

I think she does not behave normal or think straight when I apply pressure through confrontation
